Valley Little League in Santa Ana was chosen as a local organization in need of equipment to help the youth in their community learn the game of baseball.
Roberto's Kids is a charity named after the Hall Famer Roberto Clemente and has been the main charity supported by the club since 2006. The donated equipment is sent to needy kids in the Domincan Republic.
Clinic instructors who donated their time and expertise were Joe DeMarco, Matt Sharp and Jon Horwitz from Elite Baseball Instruction, former USC star and current Dodger minor leaguer Paul Koss and high school players Clay Kruse, Brandon Horth (Woodbridge), Matt Scott (Beckman), Ian Proehl (Irvine) and Eric Filia-Snyder (Edison).
Diamondback board members John Koss, Ron Ball, Jim Proehl, Mike Filia, Mike Lockwood, Rex Lyon, Jim Weston and David Kruse assisted the instructors.
Thank you to everyone who donated equipment and participated in our annual event.
