The lowest seed in the tournament wins it all!

Dissapointing pool play performance (1-2-1) barely qualified the 11u DBacks for Monday's tournament as the final, 8th, seed.

The first game was against the 4-0, 1st seed, OC Boltz. Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Diamondbacks to put the game away early.

An RBI triple by Billy Rice, and a two-run home run by Corey Johnson during the first inning and a two-run home run by Collin Johnson and an RBI single by Sean Boettcher in the second inning supplied the early offense for the DBacks.

Corey Johnson was also in control on the bump where the OC Boltz managed just two hits and allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Collin Johnson, Jack Bunnell, Billy Rice and Corey Johnson helped lead the way combining for nine hits and eight RBIs.

The Semi-Final game saw the DBacks beat the #5 seeded So Cal Stars, 6-3.

Tyler Chung racked up two RBIs on three hits. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Diamondbacks 11U scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the sixth.

The Championship game saw the DBacks take on the #3 seeded OC Friars and beat them 8-4.

Corey Johnson racked up three RBIs on two hits, a triple in the second and a homer in the third inning.

Collin Johnson was a warrior on the mound going the full 6 innings, scattering 10 hits and striking out 5.

Congratulations to the currently ranked #2 11uAA team in the nation, your Irvine Diamondbacks!
